If your mind is attached to believing that things have to be a different way for you to be OK, that's living powerlessly

If your mind is attached to believing that things have to be a different way for you to be OK, that's living powerlessly.
This mindset can be limiting and prevent you from fully embracing your current reality.
We often find ourselves unable to truly flourish and live in the present moment when our minds are constantly occupied with thoughts of the future and the past. It's like a never-ending game of ping pong, with our thoughts bouncing back and forth between what has already happened and what is yet to come.
A game of constant mental ping pong can leave us feeling disconnected from the present and unable to fully engage with the world around us right here and now.
By letting go of the need for things to be a certain way, thinking and believing "I will be happy when____" keeps your mind in an illusion of the future.
Embracing the present moment and accepting things as they are can empower you to navigate challenges with grace and strength.
Do not desire the present moment to be anything other than what it is.
The should have, would have, could haves, ought to, wish I had's, wish I had keep your attention and thoughts scattered and make it difficult to focus on what is truly important in the here and now. You will feel more peaceful and happiness by letting go of what you think should happen and focusing on the present moment.
This can help you stop thinking about the past or worrying about the future. This mindfulness allows you to live authentically and with intention, making the most out of every experience and opportunity that comes your way. Waking up each day and envisioning it as a video game, a day to find the hidden treasures, or in other words look for the gifts in each day that come in the form of things to witness, experience, see, be apart of, learn from, share with someone or simply create a day that you remember.
Remember, true power comes from within, not from external circumstances. So, take a deep breath, release any attachments to outcomes, and trust in your ability to handle whatever comes your way. You are stronger and more capable than you may realize.
What's the take away in this post? How might you be living in the past or future in your imagination and not here right now?
