The Thinking Behind Relationship Conflict
Relationship conflict often begins in the thinking each person innocently believes, not simply in what the other person does. Seeing that distinction creates more understanding, less blame, and healthier conversations.

Relationships rarely fall apart because two people are simply incompatible.
More often, they struggle because each person is innocently believing a different story about what's happening.
A delayed text becomes "They don't care."
A quiet evening becomes "Something must be wrong."
A disagreement becomes "They never listen."
The event is shared.
The experience isn't.
The quality of a relationship often improves the moment we stop assuming our thinking is the whole truth and become curious about the other person's experience.
Sometimes the greatest gift we can offer someone isn't a better argument.
It's a quieter mind.
