When a Feeling Becomes Evidence
Feelings can quickly become evidence for conclusions about ourselves, other people, relationships, and decisions. This coaching question creates space between what you are feeling and what your mind says that feeling means.

A feeling can be completely real without the conclusion you attach to it being true.
You feel nervous and decide you’re not ready.
You feel hurt and decide they don’t care.
You feel uncertain and decide you’re making the wrong choice.
You feel disappointed and decide you’ve failed.
The feeling happened.
Then your mind explained it.
Those two things can happen so quickly they seem like one.
Before letting a feeling tell you what something means, get curious about what is actually there.
What are you feeling before your mind turns the feeling into a conclusion?
