When Productivity Becomes Proof
Productivity can quietly become a measure of self-worth. This coaching insight explores the difference between doing valuable things because they matter to you and needing your workload, accomplishments, or usefulness to prove that you matter.

Doing valuable things and believing you must do valuable things to be valuable are not the same.
Hard work, ambition, helping others, and getting things done can all be meaningful.
The interesting question is what happens when you stop.
If a quiet afternoon suddenly becomes “I’m lazy,” not being needed becomes “I don’t matter,” or an unfinished list becomes evidence that you didn’t do enough, productivity may be doing more than organizing your day.
It may be carrying the job of proving something about you.
Your accomplishments can say plenty about what you’ve done.
They don’t have to decide what you’re worth.
