When Their Behavior Becomes Information
Accepting how someone is currently showing up doesn’t mean approving of their behavior. It means treating their behavior as information and deciding what is yours to do next.

Sometimes we spend enormous energy trying to get someone to be different.
To understand.
To communicate better.
To finally follow through.
To treat us differently.
There’s another question worth asking: If this is who they are currently showing you they are, what becomes yours to decide?
Acceptance doesn’t mean their behavior is okay.
It means you stop arguing with the information you’re being given.
Then the focus changes.
Not: How do I get them to change?
Instead: What do I want to do with what I now know?
Maybe you communicate something.
Maybe you change your expectations.
Maybe you limit access.
Maybe you make a different decision entirely.
Their behavior is information.
What you do with that information is yours.
