Overthinking

Where Is Your Attention Living?
Attention can narrow around one problem, worry, person, or unfinished situation without us consciously choosing it. Noticing where your attention keeps returning creates an opportunity to decide how much mental space you want to continue giving it.

Your life can be full while your attention becomes very small.
One unanswered text.
One awkward conversation.
One mistake.
One future worry.
Suddenly that one thing has the microphone all day.
That doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter.
The better question is: How much of your attention does it deserve?
Attention often becomes habitual before we notice it.
The mind keeps returning to whatever feels unresolved, threatening, or important, and eventually that small piece of life can start feeling like the whole picture.
Before trying to change your thoughts, simply notice: What has most of your attention right now?
Then ask yourself: Is that where I want this much of my attention going?
